Honda Cars saw a marginal growth of 1.5 per cent in FY25 and 2.2 per cent in March 2025.
Honda Cars India sold 1.26 lakh units in the financial year 2024-25 (FY25), registering a growth of 1.5 per cent compared to FY24, where it sold 1.24 lakh units. In March 2025, Honda Cars India sold 7,228 units, a growth of 2.2 per cent compared to March 2024 (7,071 units).
The total sales of Honda Cars India include 65,925 units sold in the domestic market and 60,228 units exported. Domestic sales of the brand saw a decline of almost 24 per cent compared to FY24, when it sold 86,524 units. However, exports saw a year-on-year growth of 60 per cent as it exported 37,589 units in FY25.
While the domestic sales grew by 2.2 per cent in March 2025, exports of Honda India declined by 32 per cent, with 4,656 units exported in March 2025 and 6,860 units in March 2024.
Honda Cars India only had one major launch in FY25, which was the Amaze. It also had a few special editions of the Elevate and City launched in the last financial year. However, these weren’t enough to help Honda grow its sales in the domestic market. The exports increased by a big margin since Honda started exporting the Elevate to markets like Japan.
