Nissan’s export business from India witnessed a growth of 524%
Nissan India revealed that it retailed a total of 6204 units in May 2024 both in the domestic and international markets. This is a substantial 50 per cent month-on-month growth from the 3,043 units it retailed in April 2024. On a year-on-year basis, Nissan India’s sales grew by a modest 34 per cent from the 4,631 units it retailed in May 2023.
Out of the 6,204 units, the domestic market accounted for 2,211 units, which is a slight 8 per cent drop from the 2,404 units it retailed last month in April, and a 15 per cent drop from the 2,618 units it retailed last year in May.

However, on the export front, Nissan witnessed quite an impressive surge of 3,993 units which is a massive 524 per cent month-on-month increase from the 639 units it exported in April 2024 and a 98 per cent year-on-year increase from the 2,013 units it exported in May 2023.
This rise in exports was primarily driven by its sub-compact SUV, Magnite. Nissan India has already surpassed the production sales milestone of 140,000 units with the Magnite in India and export markets. It is exported to 15 global markets with the latest additions being Bangladesh, Seychelles, Uganda, and Brunei.
