Maruti Suzuki reported that its sales increased by 10.39 per cent last month, wherein the brand retailed cumulatively 1,81,531 units in November 2024, compared to 1,64,439 units — in both domestic and export markets.
In the domestic market, Maruti Suzuki’s sales were mainly driven by its compact cars, which include the likes of the Alto, Baleno, S-Presso, WagonR, Ignis, Ertiga etc. This segment saw 61,373 units retail last month, which in turn was 5 per cent less compared to the 64,679 units it retailed during the same month, last year. Coupled with its compact sedan offering, the Ciaz, Maruti Suzuki retailed a total of 71,720 units of passenger cars last month.
The brand’s utility vehicle segment closely followed this. Wherein, Maruti Suzuki retailed a total of 59,003 units of XL6, Jimny, Ertiga, Invicto, XL6, etc., together, a handsome 20 per cent growth from the 49,016 units it retailed in the same period last year.
Equally impressive was its export business, which grew by 24 per cent last month. Maruti Suzuki exported 28,633 units, compared to the 22,950 units it retailed in the same period last year.
