JSW MG Motor India saw October 2025 sales dip to 6,397 units, but achieved 20% festive-period growth and 27% YTD growth.
JSW MG Motor India sold 6,397 units in October 2025, marking a 9.2% decline compared to the 7,045 units sold during the same month last year.
Despite the year-on-year drop in October, the company maintained strong cumulative performance across the festive quarter. From August to October 2025, wholesales grew by 20% year-on-year, driven by steady demand for its SUVs and electric vehicles.
For the year-to-date period (January-October 2025), the automaker recorded over 27% growth in wholesales compared to the same timeframe in 2024, highlighting sustained momentum despite short-term fluctuations.
The premium electric mobility segment remains a key focus area for the brand. The MG Select model held onto second place in the luxury EV category, posting an impressive 62% month-on-month growth, underscoring consumer interest in feature-rich electric vehicles.
The company operates through the JSW MG Motor India joint venture, established in 2023 between SAIC Motor and the JSW Group. Its manufacturing facility in Halol, Gujarat, has an annual capacity of over 1,00,000 vehicles and has been instrumental in launching several segment-first models in India, including the MG Hector, ZS EV, and Gloster.
Despite the temporary slowdown in October, the brand remains positive about its long-term trajectory, which could be supported by increasing traction in electrification in India.
