The Sonet emerged as the brand's top-selling model, accounting for 10,335 units of total sales.
Kia India achieved significant growth in September 2024, with 23,523 units sold, reflecting a 17 per cent year-on-year (YoY) increase from 20,022 units sold in September 2023. This surge was largely driven by the strong performance of the Sonet, which emerged as the brand's top-selling model, accounting for 10,335 units of total sales. The Seltos and Carens also contributed substantially, recording 6,959 and 6,217 units sold, respectively.
Kia India's total domestic dispatches for Q3 2024 reached 66,553 units, marking a robust 12 per cent YoY growth compared to Q3 2023. This growth follows a 10 per cent rise in sales over Q2 2024. The Sonet continued to dominate Kia's portfolio, contributing 45 per cent of Q3 sales, while the Seltos and Carens made up 28 per cent and 27 per cent, respectively. In addition to its domestic success, Kia India also recorded 2,006 units in exports, further emphasising the global demand for its 'Make in India' products.
Hardeep Singh Brar, Sr. VP and Head of Sales and Marketing commented, “We have also prioritized expanding our touchpoints, ensuring that our best-in-class mobility solutions are accessible to all our customers across the country. As we move into the festival period, our refreshed product line- two newly introduced Gravity trims will provide much-needed impetus for high festival sales.”
Kia’s continued success is set to be bolstered by its upcoming launches, including the Carnival Limousine Plus and the highly anticipated EV9, part of Kia’s broader "Kia 2.0" initiative aimed at modernising and redefining its product lineup with a focus on future-oriented mobility.
