The newly launched BGauss C12 MaxR faces tough competition in matching the brand trust and ecosystem polish of the TVS iQube ST and Bajaj Chetak 35 Series. Does it stand a chance?
BGauss has just launched its new BG C12 MaxR electric scooter in India. But, it already is surrounded by fiercely competitive rivals.
The TVS iQube ST stands out as the premium all-rounder with the largest battery capacity and longest real-world range, while the Bajaj Chetak 35 Series offers iconic metal-body styling with modern tech integration. Comparing these electric scooters highlights distinct strengths across range, motor output, charging speed, and smart features for Indian riders.
Ex-showroom prices vary based on specific variant configurations, local taxes, and government subsidies applicable across states in India.
Battery capacities, certified range claims, charging times, and peak motor outputs vary significantly across the three electric family scooters.
BGauss BG C12 MaxR comes equipped with a 5-inch TFT instrument display, 38 litres of under-seat storage, fall-sense safety motor cutoff, side-stand sensor, reverse mode, limp home mode, and an on-board USB phone charging port. It is offered in multiple single and dual-tone colour options including Pearl White, Satin Black, Terra Green Champagne Gold, and Sparkling Wine Champagne Gold.
Bajaj Chetak 35 Series features a durable all-steel unibody construction, 35 litres of boot storage space under the seat, a 5-litre front glove box, and a floorboard battery layout for enhanced balance. Higher variants like the C3501 feature a 5.5-inch wide TFT touchscreen display with built-in Google Maps navigation, keyless remote access fob, document storage, customisable over-speed alerts, collision detection, sequential turn blinkers, and full smartphone app connectivity.
