Bajaj CT 125X Variant Spotted Testing In Pune

A new Bajaj test bike has recently been spotted in Pune. The bike was heavily camouflaged but we have spotted some similarities with the Bajaj CT 125X. This hints to a possible upcoming model in the company’s CT lineup of workhorses.

The bike in the spyshot has a big round headlight and a tall, wide single piece handlebar. It looks a lot like the current CT 125X. Its handguards, braced handlebar and sump guard seem to have been borrowed from the Platina 110.

It gets a telescopic fork which has fork gaiters as seen on the CT 125X. This bike gets split-spoke design for its alloy wheels. Despite variations in wheel design, both the test mule and the CT 125X share the same size and shape for the front disc. It gets a single piece seat which is also a characteristic feature of the CT series. . It is equipped with an engine crash guard, a saree guard featuring an integrated footrest, and a rear tyre hugger. It also has a rear luggage rack which might add some well required functionality to this work horse.

Additionally, the engine casing displays fins, indicating that the test mule has an air-cooled engine. The Bajaj CT 125X has a 124.4cc BS6 engine which makes 10.7 bhp and a torque of 11 Nm. This new engine could be a 150 cc variant to expand the CT family further.

With the recent discontinuation of the Pulsar P150, there are only the N150 and the older Pulsar 150. We think that this test mule that has been spotted might be another 150cc bike which might fit into the void left by the Pulsar P150. This bike is expected to be launched early next year and will be the cheapest 150 cc bike in Bajaj’s portfolio.
