The new Benelli 902S builds on the success of its predecessor, the 752S.

The Benelli 902S, the latest offering from the Italian-Chinese motorcycle manufacturer, made its first public appearance at the Beijing Motorcycle Show earlier this year in May. The unveiling marked a significant step for Benelli, showcasing its evolution under China's Qianjiang Group (QJ) ownership.

The 902S represents a substantial upgrade from its predecessor, the 752S. At the heart of the bike is a larger 904 cc engine, boosting power to an impressive 105 bhp, up from the 752S's 76 bhp. This increase in power translates to enhanced performance, with the top speed now reaching 225 kmph. Despite the power boost, Benelli managed to reduce the bike's weight, with the 902S tipping the scales at 220 kg fully fueled, thus making it 12 kg lighter than the previous model.

In addition to its improved performance, the 902S equips an advanced TFT display with a tyre pressure monitoring system, thus underlining Benelli's commitment to modernizing its offerings.

The 902S is already available in the Chinese market, priced at 39,800 yuan (approximately ₹4.71 lakh). The motorcycle world eagerly anticipates the 902S's appearance at EICMA 2024, where it's expected to take centre stage as Benelli's new flagship model. This Beijing debut highlights Benelli's ambition to compete in the global naked bike market and showcases the potential of blending Italian design with Chinese manufacturing efficiency.
