Far away from Arrakis, from the power struggles between the Empire and the House of Atreidis on planet Earth, Benelli has decided to revamp its newly launched adv tourer, the TRK 702X, with a new colour option called Dune Sea.
While the name 'Dune Sea' might evoke associations with the iconic science fiction novel 'Dune' by Frank Herbert, Benelli's inspiration stems from the awe-inspiring vistas of real-world deserts. The brand emphasises that this colour choice is a tribute to the natural splendour of these barren yet breathtaking landscapes, rather than a direct reference to the fictional world of Arrakis.
Aside from this new colourway, the bike has relatively remained the same. Underneath, it continues to be powered by the 698 cc, parallel-twin engine that is good for 75 bhp and 70 Nm and comes paired with a 6-speed gearbox.

The bike continues to be built around the same trellis architecture that has been derived from the smaller 500 cc adventure tourers – the TRK 552X. It is suspended by a USD fork at the front, an aluminium swingarm with a central monoshock. Braking duties are taken care of dual-320 mm disc at the front, and a 260 mm disc at the rear.
Feature-wise, the TRK 702X will be available with a USB charger and a USB C socket as standard. And if you are trading the desert at night and are finding to cold for your comfort, Benelli also offers heated hand grips and and rider seat as optional add-on accessories.
Benelli has launched the 2024 TRK 702X with this new colour option for the European market only. Aside from this, the bike will continue to be available with the existing Anthracite Grey, Forest Green, White, and Moon Grey options as well.
While we are yet to ascertain if the Benelli TRK 702X will make its way to India or not. The brand has its smaller 500 cc sibling, the TRK 502X, on sale in India. So, to get this ‘Dune’ bike all we can do now is wait.
