The F 450 GS will be BMW’s new entry point to the GS range globally after the G 310 GS was discontinued last year.
BMW Motorrad has finally launched the F 450 GS in India at a starting price of ₹ 4.70 lakh (ex-showroom). It will be offered in three variants namely Base, Exclusive, and GS Trophy. The latter two are priced at ₹4.90 lakh and ₹5.30 lakh (both ex-showroom), respectively. The adventure tourer first broke cover as a concept a couple of years ago before making its global debut as the production-spec model at EICMA 2025 in Milan, Italy last November.
The new F 450 GS will be the new entry-point to BMW’s GS lineup globally after the G 310 GS was discontinued last year. It is built on an all-new platform developed jointly by BMW Motorrad and TVS Motor Company. The adventure tourer will be built locally in India at the latter’s Hosur-based facility, with production having already commenced in late 2025.
Bookings for the F 450 GS commenced earlier this week at all BMW Motorrad dealerships across the country, with deliveries expected to commence next month.

The BMW F 450 draws heavily from the styling cues of its larger GS siblings, such as the R 1300 GS, giving it a design that appears both purposeful and refined. At the front, it features the signature beak-like nose that underscores its adventure-ready intent, while the well-contoured fuel tank and bold side panels contribute to a strong, athletic stance.
A standout detail is the front fascia, where X-shaped LED DRLs lend a modern, distinctive touch. Toward the rear, the slim tail section brings the design together cleanly, maintaining a balance between sporty appeal and rugged character. Taken as a whole, the F 450 looks capable of handling daily city commutes just as confidently as off-road trails. The F 450 GS will be available in two colour options namely Cosmic Black (Base and Executive) and Racing Blue Metallic (GS Trophy).

BMW equips the F 450 GS with a well-rounded set of features focused on improving usability and rider comfort. At the centre is a 6.5-inch fully digital TFT display that supports smartphone connectivity and presents key ride data clearly. The bike also gets adjustable brake and clutch levers, and heated grips to make riding more manageable across different conditions. In addition, Quickshifter Pro is offered, allowing clutchless upshifts and downshifts, which can make longer journeys feel less tiring and more fluid.
The BMW F 450 GS is built on a steel tubular frame and hollow-cast aluminum swingarm that sit on 43 mm upside-down front forks with adjustable settings, along with a rear monoshock offering 180 mm of travel at both ends. The motorcycle weighs in at roughly 178 kg (kerb) while the seat is pegged at 845 mm. It rides on a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear setup with wire-spoked wheels, wrapped in dual-purpose tyres. Braking duties are carried out by single disc brakes at both ends aided by switchable dual-channel ABS.

The BMW F 450 GS is powered by a newly developed 420 cc parallel-twin engine that delivers 48 bhp at 8,750 rpm and a peak torque of 43 Nm at 6,750 rpm. It is paired with a six-speed transmission, along with an assist and slipper clutch and a bi-directional quickshifter. There are three ride modes on offer with the F 450 GS as standard — Rain, Road, and Enduro — with a fourth mode called Enduro+ offered in Executive and GS Trophy trims.
