The F 900 GS duo receives a larger engine, cosmetic updates and massive weight reduction.
A day after teasing the new BMW F 900 GS on its social media handle, BMW Motorrad India has commenced bookings for its upcoming motorcycle. The German brand confirmed that interested customers of the BMW F 900 GS and the F 900 GS Adventure can pre-book the motorcycles at BMW Motorrad dealerships across the country or on the official website.

The new range of ADV bikes will replace the BMW F 850 GS range from the Indian market. The styling of the F 900 GS series is sharper and sportier than its predecessor. In fact, the new bike looks sleeker and has a more rally-focused design language. All-LED lighting comes standard and so does a crisp TFT screen replacing the older LCD unit. Powering the F 900 GS duo is a larger 895cc, parallel-twin motor churning out producing 105 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 93 Nm at 6,750 rpm, a significant 10 bhp jump over the F 850 GS. It also gets Rain and Road ride modes, while cornering ABS and dynamic traction control are standard.

The other big change in the BMW F 900 GS is weight reduction. By employing a lighter new subframe and plastic fuel tank instead of steel, BMW engineers have successfully made the new bike shed 14 kg. The F 900 GS Adventure gets additional goodies such as a larger 23-litre fuel tank, adjustable windscreen, and revised suspension. Prices for the BMW F 900 GS series will be revealed by the end of this month.
