The Turbo Edition reinterprets the iconic 1973 BMW 2002 Turbo with Alpine White paint, hand-painted BMW Motorsport stripes, a black power dome, and reversed 'turbo' bonnet script.

BMW India has officially opened pre-orders for the first-ever BMW M2 xDrive Turbo Edition across its authorised dealership network nationwide. The limited-run performance coupe serves as a modern homage reinterpreting the legendary 1973 BMW 2002 Turbo, which pioneered series-production turbocharging for passenger vehicles over five decades ago. Offered in strictly limited numbers, the special edition model will be allocated to Indian automotive enthusiasts on a first-come, first-served basis.

On the outside, the M2 xDrive Turbo Edition is finished exclusively in Alpine White, accented by hand-painted BMW Motorsport stripes running across the bodywork. Key design cues honouring the original 1973 Turbo legend include a black power dome and the iconic reversed 'turbo' script on the bonnet. Additional motorsport-inspired elements comprise a bespoke 'turbo' emblem positioned beneath the rear M2 badge, a lightweight carbon-fibre roof, a carbon-fibre tailgate, and a carbon-fibre rear spoiler. Prospective buyers can also specify optional 19-inch front and 20-inch rear Gold Bronze M Performance forged wheels to complete the heritage look.

The interior layout receives several exclusive trim enhancements designed to underline its motorsport pedigree. The driver-focused cabin comes equipped with M Carbon bucket seats, an M Alcantara steering wheel, and carbon-fibre interior trim inserts. An exclusive 'turbo' badge is integrated directly into the centre cupholder cover, further distinguishing this limited-run vehicle from the standard M2 coupe.

Under the bonnet, the coupe is powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbo inline six-cylinder engine that delivers a peak power output of 473 bhp. Channeling power via the M xDrive all-wheel-drive system, the sports car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds. The top speed is electronically capped at 250 km/h, which can be raised to 285 km/h with the installation of the optional M Driver's Package.
