Bounce Infinity has launched the world’s first portable liquid-cooled battery that will be employed in its E1 electric scooter. Developed in collaboration with Clean Electric, the new battery will be available with the e1 scooter as standard at ₹99,210 (ex-showroom).
The addition of liquid-cooled technology has helped boost the range from 85 km to somewhere between 112-120 km (real world). Battery capacity has also increased from 1.9 kWh to 2.5 kWh, yet weight has been kept under check. But still, at 14.5 kg, it is far from being easy to carry, necessitating the rider to have some muscular strength.

Bounce Infinity is the second company in India after Matter with its Aera 5000 motorcycle to implement liquid-cool technology. Matter even went ahead to employ a manual gearbox with a proper clutch lever pull and release function – just to retain that familiarity with ICE models.
As for the Bounce Infinity E1, the cooling approach to its battery enables 2-3 degree temperature homogeneity across 140 cells, which translates to 30-50 per cent higher life than conventional air-cooled batteries. So, an average Bounce Infinity liquid-cooled battery will still be able to do 85-90 km of range even after 5 years, claims Clean Energy. Furthermore, the components used to make the battery are also recyclable, thus aligning with global environmental standards.
On the sidelines, it has also been revealed that both Bounce Infinity and Clean Energy are working together on a new Long Range e1++ variant that will boast of double the range. This will be achieved by placing another cell under the footboard. Currently, the Bounce Infinity is available in three trims - e.1+, e1LE, and e1. All of which can be reserved for a small token amount of ₹499.
