Here are the top 5 reasons, why the Mahindra Scorpio-N Z6 should be on your consideration list.
When Mahindra launched a new Scorpio-N – there was a legacy to live up to. And the SUV pushed the boundaries, yet again. It received a massive 1 lakh plus bookings, so clearly, there is a massive demand for a 7-seater with the credentials that the Scorpio-N carries. There is so much that it has in terms of technology, looks, and drivability. And with the multitude of variants, customers are spoilt for choice. But if you are looking to spend Rs. 20 lahks on a 7-seater SUV, then there’s one variant of the Scorpio-N that you definitely have to look at the Scorpio-N Z6. So here are the top 5 reasons, why the Scorpio-N Z6 should be on your consideration list.
The Mahindra Scorpio-N looks imposing, and there’s no doubt about it. The Z6 comes with a front grille in a silver colour, then there are the twin barrel MFR headlights, which add a bit of attitude to the SUV. The turn indicators on the ORVMs are LEDs, as are the taillights. You get a rear spoiler and body-coloured door handles as well.
The Scorpio-N Z6 gets frequency-dependent dampers that take all the bumps, the undulations on the road, in their stride allowing the passengers in the car a safe and comfortable ride. The Z6 variant also comes with creature comforts such as a 6-way driver power adjustable seat, auto wipers, and an electric sunroof, which enhance your experience inside the SUV.
The Adrenox Connect feature is available from the Z6 variant onward. It receives an 8-inch infotainment system, which gives out all the information. You can also seamlessly connect your smartphone via Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, while Alexa compatibility brings a different level of convenience.
And you can outsource some of the daily tasks by just talking to it. Having these features certainly makes your day-to-day life extremely simple. Thanks to what3words, you can navigate to a precise location using a unique and easy-to-remember 3-word combination.
Mahindra has simplified the way you drive. With the 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine, Scorpio-N Z6 is a powerhouse because there’s 172 bhp on offer and 370 Nm of torque on the manual variant, and 400 Nm on the automatic.
There’s minimal lag and it only enhances the way you drive, because it gives you more confidence. There’s good grunt and even in the manual transmission, the clutch is nice and light. So even though, it’s a big machine, it doesn’t feel like one.
On the safety front, it’s already passed with flying colours, with Global NCAP giving the SUV a 5-star safety rating. And mind you, it was tested under the new-stricter norms and is the only body-on-frame SUV to have scored a 5-star rating by GNCAP.
Then there is the plethora of safety features, including dual airbags, front and rear parking sensors, and traction control as standard. But from the Z6 variant onwards, you also get hill hold control, hill descent control, Electronic Stability Control, Roll-Over mitigation, Brake Disc Wiping, and Brake Prefill, which truly is an exceptional number of features for a mid-variant of the SUV.
