To further expand its portfolio in the Chinese market, KSR-owned Brixton Motorcycles is working on a new enduro travel motorcycle. The upcoming motorcycle’s design was spotted by a German publication, which also revealed that the bike will be called Storr 1200. While the badge is a continuation of the Storr 500 that the Austrian brand launched in 2023, from an engineering point of view, the Storr 1200 will be based on the same platform that also underpins the Cromwell 1200 and Cromwell 1200X.
Both the Brixton Cromwell 1200 and Cromwell 1200X are slated to arrive in India next month. The duo share the same parallel-twin 1,222 cc engine that is known for its massive torque of 108 Nm and meaty 83 bhp output figures. The upcoming Brixton Storr 1200 will be powered by the same water-cooled motor, however, there are talks that Brixton may bump it up to 120 Nm for the enduro bike.
Similarly, the tubular steel frame from the Cromwell’s has also reportedly been carried over albeit with certain enduro-specific reinforcements, in the form of upside-down telescopic fork and a dual-shock setup mounted directly above the rear axle. Tubeless cross-spoke wheels in 19-inch (front) and 17-inch (rear) sizes, shod with block tyres further suggest that the Storr 1200 will be capable in off-road situations.
Beyond that, modern amenities like ABS, traction control, and cruise control are expected to be available, along with a portrait-style display smartphone connectivity and navigation. The Brixton Storr 1200 is anticipated to hit the European market in 2025, and whether it is followed by an Indian launch too somewhere in late 2025 or early-2026 will depend on how Indian bikers receive Brixton Motorcycle’s debut.
