The new retro single arrives in five colour options as well as a special Legacy Edition - Silver Sheen shade.
Reviving a classic British roadster is a challenging feat. However, Classic Legends seems to have aced it with the new Gold Star 650, launched yesterday in the country, starting from ₹2.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
Beyond that iconic silhouette, what makes the current BSA Gold Star 650 such a beauty is how similar the new motorcycle looks to the original. And making the bike all the more appealing are those five exciting colour options – Insignia Red, Midnight Black, Dawn Silver, and Highland Green. Classic Legends has also brought the Legacy Edition - Silver Sheen shade for the Gold Star 650, which slots above all the colour variants and is also the most expensive option in the line-up.
Here’s how each one looks:

The BSA Gold Star 650 with the Highland Green and Insignia Red colour options is priced at ₹2,99,990 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The roadster's classic aesthetics are on point, with the chrome embellishments on the tanks, headlight ring, and some engine parts.
The contrasting black treatment on the side panels and the suspension keep the old-school aesthetic appeal. The red and green colours are around the tank section and the mudguards. Furthering the aesthetic around the tank section are those nice green and red-white stripes, respectively.
Slotted above are Midnight Black and Dawn Silver. With these two colour options, the BSA Gold Star 650 will set you back ₹3,11,990 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Like the previous two colour options, the bike's aesthetics are similar here, with the same chrome embellishment on the tank.

However, the Midnight Black option interplays black and chrome. With the Dawn Silver option, there's a play between chrome and silver. On paper, it might come across as a white-coloured motorcycle, but upon closer inspection, that's not the case. However, the blacked-out side panels continue here as well, but the mudguards at both ends are in the shade of silver.

With the Shadow Black colour option, the BSA Gold Star 650 is priced at ₹3.15 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). With this option, the whole motorcycle is blacked out, even the spoke wheels, which are otherwise silver-coated in the variants above. Gone are the chrome embellishments on the tank and the headlight ring—and the result is a very subtle-looking, understated BSA Gold Star 650 that might not turn heads in traffic but will surely make a statement when parked.
Lastly, completing the BSA Gold Star 650 line-up is the Legacy Edition model, which is available with the Sheen Silver Shade. Despite the similar appeal as the Dawn Silver colour option, the resultant appeal looks much more authentic to the Goldies of the 1950s and 1960s. Moreover, the shade of the silver colour has a lighter tone compared to the Dawn Silver option. Additionally, the mudguard, mirror stalks and the mirrors themselves are also in chrome. All of which shoots up the price and the BSA Gold Star Legacy Edition at ₹3.34 lakh is the most expensive option in the line-up.
