BYD eMAX 7 e-MPV: Variants Explained

BYD India just launched the new eMAX 7 MPV in India, with its prices ranging from ₹26.90 - 29.90 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Unlike the e6, the eMAX 7 is available in two trims – Premium and Superior. Both trims get 6- and 7-seat configurations. Let’s take a look at what each variant offers. 

BYD eMAX 7 Premium

Price: ₹26.90 - 27.50 lakh (ex-showroom, India)

The eMAX 7 gets a permanent magnet synchronous motor that develops 161 bhp in the Premium trim and 201 bhp in the Superior trim. Both trims produce 310 Nm and have a top speed of 180 kmph. The eMAX doesn’t have a direct rival as it is the only three-row electric MPV in India but can compete with the likes of the Toyota Innova Hycross (₹18.92 - 30.98 lakh) and Maruti Suzuki Invicto (₹25.21 - 28.92 lakh).
