Citroën India has dropped the C3 prefix from the nomenclature of its compact SUV and is now rebranded as Citroën Aircross.
We reported this in August and now, Citroën India has finally introduced the naturally aspirated petrol engine on the C3 Aircross at a starting price of ₹8.49 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Available alongside the turbo petrol C3 Aircross, the compact SUV also receives the 6-speed torque convertor alongside the manual gearbox, while adding a new trim. Moreover, the company has also rebadged the compact SUV, dropping the C3 prefix from its nomenclature. It will now be called Citroën Aircross. This follows the brand's updated naming convention, where alphanumeric designations will be replaced by actual model names. The shift began with the introduction of the Citroën Basalt and will soon be applied across all of its global models.
