Diwali Discounts Light Up the Indian Car Market with Festive Offers Across Segments

With Diwali just around the corner, carmakers in India have rolled out an array of festive discounts and benefits, spanning hatchbacks, sedans, SUVs and MPVs. Buyers can now save up to ₹7 lakh on select electric models and nearly ₹2 lakh on hybrid SUVs, as manufacturers deploy a mix of cash incentives, exchange bonuses, scrappage benefits and corporate perks to boost sales during the season.

Maruti Suzuki leads the charge with savings of up to ₹1.8 lakh on its Nexa strong-hybrid Grand Vitara, along with offers reaching ₹55,500 on entry-level hatchbacks such as the Alto K10 and Wagon R. Across its Arena and Nexa line-up, benefits include cash discounts, exchange bonuses and scrappage incentives, with additional perks for institutional and rural buyers. 

Hyundai Motor India has announced discounts up to ₹95,000, with its popular Tucson and Alcazar SUVs drawing the highest benefits. The Grand i10 Nios hatchback attracts total savings of up to ₹55,000, while the i20, Aura and Venue range secure incentives from ₹25,000 to ₹50,000. Corporate and loyalty bonuses further sweeten deals on models like the Verna and Creta. 

Tata Motors offers a blend of cash and exchange bonuses on its ICE portfolio. The Tiago hatchback sees ₹10,000 cash and ₹15,000 exchange benefits, while the Tigor and Nexon each get ₹15,000 and ₹10,000 cash discounts respectively, plus ₹15,000 on exchanges. Premium SUVs Curvv, Harrier and Safari also enjoy ₹20,000–₹25,000 in both cash and exchange support. 

Kia has joined the fray, with the Sonet SUV backed by ₹10,000 cash, ₹20,000 exchange and ₹15,000 corporate discounts. The Seltos and Syros SUVs get total benefits of up to ₹60,000 and ₹80,000, respectively, and the Carens MPV secures ₹20,000 loyalty plus exchange and corporate bonuses. 

Honda’s Diwali offers span the compact Amaze sedan to its City e:HEV hybrid, with total benefits peaking at ₹1.32 lakh on the Elevate SUV and ₹1.27 lakh on the City petrol sedan. Cash, exchange, loyalty and extended warranty support combine to improve ownership costs. 

Renault has lined up festive savings on the Kwid, Kiger and Triber, with total discounts up to ₹80,000 combining cash, exchange, scrappage and corporate incentives. Volkswagen’s popular Taigun and Virtus models also enjoy premium discounts of ₹1.8 lakh and ₹1.6 lakh respectively, underlining aggressive festive pricing by premium brands. 

Across the board, Diwali 2025 has become one of the most rewarding seasons for prospective car buyers. From entry-level hatchbacks to premium hybrids and SUVs, the market is poised for a festive spike in sales, driven by attractive incentives and evolving GST benefits.
