Ducati Monster V2 Launched in India Starting at ₹13.99 Lakh

Ducati India has launched its new Monster V2 motorcycle in the Indian market, with prices starting at ₹13.99 lakh for the standard variant and reaching up to ₹14.45 lakh for the top-spec Monster+ model (both ex-showroom). The base version in traditional Ducati Red carries a price tag of ₹13.99 lakh, while the Iceberg White and Sport Livery options are priced at ₹14.23 lakh. The Monster+ trim begins at ₹14.34 lakh and goes up to ₹14.45 lakh, adding a headlight cowl and passenger seat cover.

The primary update on the new naked motorcycle is the introduction of an 890 cc V2 engine equipped with Intake Variable Timing, replacing the previous 937 cc Testastretta powertrain. This new engine generates a maximum power output of 110 bhp at 9,000 rpm and 91 Nm of peak torque at 7,250 rpm. Over 80% of the torque is accessible between 4,000 rpm and 10,000 rpm, improving everyday usability across varied riding conditions. Furthermore, the engine is 5.9 kg lighter than its predecessor and offers extended valve clearance service intervals of 45,000 km.

A full suite of electronic aids is managed via a six-axis IMU, including cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, engine brake control, and Ducati Quick Shift 2.0. Riders can select from four distinct riding modes: Sport, Road, Urban, and Wet. Instrumentation is provided by a 5-inch TFT colour screen.

Built on an aluminium monocoque frame where the engine serves as a stressed member, the motorcycle weighs 175 kg without fuel, reflecting a 4 kg weight reduction. Ergonomic adjustments include a narrower seat lowered by 5 mm to 815 mm, alongside handlebars repositioned slightly higher and further forward. The motorcycle also adopts a Panigale V4-inspired double-sided swingarm, a 43 mm Showa upside-down front fork, and Brembo brakes featuring dual 320 mm front discs.
