Ducati has yet to plan any replacement for the Scrambler 1100, and will only focus on the smaller Scrambler 803 cc models.
Ducati will discontinue the Scrambler 1100 by the end of 2024. The Bologna-based manufacturer has decided to do so due to stricter Euro5+ emission standards that will kick in from 2025 onwards. However, on record Ducati UK’s Marketing Director Fabrizio Cazzoli revealed that the strike-off is part of the brand’s “regular and ongoing product updates and product development that are coming in the future.” While the entry-level Scrambler range has performed extremely well for the Italian brand, the 1100 series couldn’t achieve the same sales success. One of the key reasons for this was its premium pricing and at this price point, there are many other exciting options from Ducati as well as rival manufacturers.
The Ducati Scrambler 1100 is still sold in our country. Earlier it was available in two iterations only — 1100 Sport Pro and 1100 Dark Pro. The brand recently launched a mid-spec iteration of this badge, dubbed Scrambler 1100 Tribute Pro, priced at ₹14.10 lakh onward.
All three iterations of the Ducati Scrambler 1100 are powered by the brand’s 1,079 cc, L-twin Desmodromic engine that is good for 86 bhp and 88 Nm, and comes paired to a 6-speed gearbox. Differences between the three models lie in the kind of equipment they are available with.
At ₹13.40 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Ducati Scrambler 1100 Dark Pro is the base model. It gets simpler hardware components. At ₹15.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Scrambler 1100 Sport Pro benefits from premium components like Ohlins suspension, Brembo brakes, and traction control. The mid-spec 1100 Tribute Pro benefits from an iconic livery that harks back to some of the iconic models from Ducati’s history.
Ducati has not revealed any plans, with regards to the next model that will replace the Scrambler 1100. Currently, the brand will focus on the smaller Scrambler 2G line-up, which is available in India in three variants - Icon, Full Throttle, and Nightshift. Prices start from ₹10.39 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) onwards. And the line-up was recently updated with a bunch of new accessories, the details of which you can read here.
