This marks Dyson's first venture into cord-free wet floor cleaning.
Dyson has unveiled its latest innovation in home cleaning technology, the Dyson WashG1. This marks the company's first venture into cord-free wet floor cleaning. Dyson says the WashG1 is engineered to tackle both wet and dry debris simultaneously, offering users a hygienic cleaning solution that leaves floors suitable for barefoot walking.
The WashG1 has a robust cleaning system centred around a 1-litre clean water tank and employs a combination of hydration, absorption, and extraction technologies. At the heart of its cleaning mechanism are two individually powered, counter-rotating rollers. These rollers are equipped with highly absorbent microfiber, featuring an impressive 64,800 filaments per square centimetre. A pulse-modulated pump ensures even water distribution across 26 precisely positioned hydration points along each roller's width.
Dyson claims this innovative design allows the WashG1 to absorb liquid spills effectively while capturing dry dirt, debris, and hair. The dual-roller configuration also extends the contact time with stains, resulting in more powerful and efficient stain removal. The device's cleaning prowess is further enhanced by its ability to cover up to 3,100 square feet on a single charge, making it suitable for larger living spaces.
Dyson engineers have incorporated a unique separation technology that divides debris and dirty water at the source. Durable extraction plates remove dirty water from the rollers, while secondary nylon-bristled inner brush bars flick dirt and debris into a removable tray. This tray features a 500-micron mesh that separates large debris from dirty water, which is then collected in a 0.8-litre tank. This system ensures hygienic, no-touch disposal of waste.
The WashG1 offers users precise control over cleaning intensity with multiple hydration modes. Low, medium, and high settings can be further fine-tuned with three sensitivity options within each mode. A separate boost mode saturates the rollers with maximum hydration for particularly stubborn dirt or dried stains.
The WashG1 features smooth internal surfaces without sharp edges or crevices, minimizing dirt buildup. Large openings on both water tanks facilitate easy cleaning, while a self-cleaning mode flushes the entire system with clean water after use, preparing it for the next cleaning session.
The WashG1 incorporates manoeuvrability technology from Dyson's Omni-glide. The full-width rollers ensure edge-to-edge cleaning, effectively reaching into corners.
The Dyson WashG1 is now available in India, priced at Rs 64,900. It can be purchased from Dyson.in and Dyson Demo stores across the country. The WashG1 has a 2-year warranty and accidental damage protection, underlining Dyson's confidence in its latest offering. As part of a limited-time promotion, Dyson offers extra Microfibre Rollers at a significantly discounted price of Rs 1,490, down from the regular Rs 4,990.
