Bengaluru-based deep-tech startup E3 Electric.Ai will launch its E3 Trion electric scooter in India next month.
The upcoming E3 Trion electric scooter has officially received its Central Motor Vehicles Rules (CMVR) Type Approval Certificate from the Global Automotive Research Centre (GARC), operating under the Ministry of Heavy Industries.
The regulatory clearance validates that the upcoming vehicle complies with all mandatory Indian automotive safety and performance standards ahead of its August 6 launch. Following this certification, the scooter has also been integrated into the Government of India's central Vahan portal, officially granting the regulatory approval required for vehicle registration and public road use across the country.

The E3 Trion scooter is engineered around a proprietary, vertically integrated artificial intelligence stack designed to eliminate common ownership hurdles. The core software suite introduces ten specialised features, including an automated 10-second vehicle health scan before every ride and predictive diagnostics that detect hardware anomalies before they cause a breakdown.
Powering this launch is a major financial milestone for the deep-tech electric mobility parent company, E3 Electric.Ai, which has successfully secured ₹100 crore in a Series A funding round. The investment structure consists of a mix of 75% equity and 25% debt financing, led by global venture capital firm BluVenture Holdings alongside participation from strategic angel investors.
