The Hero Xoom 125R will make its India debut in 2024.
Hero MotoCorp announced at the EICMA motorcycle festival that it will be expanding its scooter portfolio and launching a range of new premium products. The first scooter to be rolled out under its new vision is the Hero Xoom 125R. The Xoom 125R will be the second offering in the Xoom family and is likely to make its India debut next year. According to Hero MotoCorp, the Xoom 125R is close to production but final validation and tests are being carried out.

The styling of the Xoom 125R is an evolution of the Xoom 110 but it gets a sharper apron and the LED headlight is different as well. Another distinction are the sequential LED indicators (first in segment). The exhaust muffler is slightly chunky but what gives the scooter a better stance is the larger 14-inch alloy front wheel. The larger wheel should also offer it better handling dynamics and stability than the Xoom 110.
Hero has mentioned that the new 125 cc engine is all-new and offers quick acceleration, making 9.4 bhp and 10.16 Nm in the process. For reference the TVS NTorq 125, its chief rival in its sportiest Race XP trim, produces 10 bhp and 10.9 Nm. Also, the Hero scooter weighs 9 kilos more than the NTorq, weighing in at 120 kg kerb.
On the features front, the Xoom 125R gets a fully digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity. Apart from this, the rider gets turn-by-turn navigation along with call and message alerts. We expect the Hero Xoom 125R to be launched in India in the first half of 2024 and it will compete against the likes of the TVS Ntorq 125, Suzuki Avenis 125, Honda Dio 125 and the Yamaha Ray ZR 125.
