The 390 Adventure R gets a more powerful engine, updated hardware and a bunch of new features

The highly anticipated production version of the KTM 390 Adventure R has been spotted on the showfloor of the EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, Italy. The 2025 390 Adventure R gets a complete overhaul to address the issues faced by its predecessor and to make it a more compelling and exciting ADV bike. Here are its key highlights.

The styling is all-new as the bike is slimmer and has a Dakar Rally bike inspired front end with LED headlight and DRLs

The high mounted mudguard gives it a nice stance, while the fuel tank looks bigger than the older bike.

Powering the bike is the same 399 cc, liquid-cooled engine as seen on the 390 Duke delivering 45.3 bhp and 39 Nm.

KTM 390 Adventure R (1).jpg — The bike gets a 6-speed transmission with a bi-directional quickshifter.

KTM 390 Adventure R (4).jpg — Seat height is pretty tall at 860 mm.

KTM 390 Adventure R (2).jpg — The frame and the subframe is all-new for better ground clearance and handling dynamics.

KTM 390 Adventure R (5).jpg — The KTM 390 ADV R comes with fully adjustable suspension on both ends with a massive 230 mm of travel.

KTM 390 Adventure R (7).jpg — The bike rides on a 21/18-inch spoke wheel setup wrapped with off-road tyres but sadly tubeless wheels are missing.

KTM 390 Adventure R (8).jpg — It gets a 5-inch TFT display and cruise control comes standard.

KTM 390 Adventure R (9).jpg — Electronic aids include multiple riding modes, traction control and cornering ABS.

The 390 Adventure R will go on sale in India in early 2025 with prices starting at ₹3.50 lakh (ex-showroom)
