EICMA 2024: Hero Xoom 160 Adventure Concept Showcased

At the 2024 EICMA motorcycle show in Milan, Hero MotoCorp unveiled a very interesting concept. Dubbed the Hero Xoom 160 Adventure Concept and the Xoom 125 Adventure Concept, both the scooters pay homage to Hero’s Dakar Rally exploits. The Xoom 160 is a handsome looking scooter itself but Hero designers and engineers have dialled up its ADV quotient further with the Adventure Package. 

The above includes a raised fender for better clearance while riding off-road, knuckle guards, crash bars and knobby tyres. Other interesting bits on the Hero Xoom 160 Adventure Concept include LED cornering light and the digital console now also gets ride modes. Even the red and white colour scheme is similar to Hero’s Dakar Rally machines. The scooter runs on 14-inch wheels on both ends while a telescopic fork and monoshock unit handle suspension duties. Powering the scooter is a 156 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine producing 12 bhp and 13.7 Nm. As you can see, the Hero Xoom 160 Adventure Concept has ample firepower to have some fun on trails or off-road. Alongside the Xoom 160, Hero also showcased the Xoom 125 Adventure Concept with similar modification. The Xoom 125 is powered by a 124.6 cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine rated at 9.4 bhp and 10.1 Nm.

The Hero Xoom 160 was showcased earlier this year and has generated a lot of buzz among Indian bikers. But Hero has been silent about its future prospects, however we are hopeful to hear some development regarding the launch timeline and pricing of the flagship Hero scooter by evening as Hero has scheduled a press conference at the EICMA motorcycle show.
