Hero MotoCorp is preparing to make waves at EICMA 2024. Its latest 250 cc street naked motorcycle, likely to be branded the Xtreme 250R, will be one of the major highlights. To that end, the company recently released a teaser on its social media handles, offering a glimpse of how the highly anticipated bike will be styled.
For starters, the design philosophy draws inspiration from the Hero 2.5R Xtunt concept showcased at last year's EICMA. The teaser and previously reported patent images reveal an aggressive styling approach, featuring an angular headlamp housing with an innovative H-shaped LED DRL. The motorcycle sports a muscular fuel tank complemented by well-integrated radiator shrouds while maintaining sleeker proportions in its side and rear sections. Initial images showcase a striking dual-tone colour scheme combining red and silver.
At the heart of this new offering will most probably be a 250 cc liquid-cooled, DOHC, single-cylinder engine. While official specifications await confirmation, we expect this mill will produce somewhere between 28-30 bhp and 24-25 Nm. Which will help Hero position the bike competitively against rivals like the KTM 250 Duke and Husqvarna Vitpilen 250.

The chassis setup includes upside-down fork and a rear monoshock, with 17-inch alloy wheels and disc brakes at both ends. The feature list is expected to include full LED lighting and a digital display with Bluetooth connectivity, possibly featuring the same TFT screen technology as the upcoming XPulse 210.
Hero MotoCorp will most likely launch the new Xtreme 250R in the Indian market by early 2025, with an expected price range of around ₹2 lakh lakh (ex-showroom). Complete specifications and details will be unveiled during the official presentation at EICMA 2024. Stay tuned to this space, we will get you all the latest news live from Milan.
