Leaked images of the upcoming fourth-generation Hyundai i20 reveal a dramatic design shift that adds heavy body cladding, an upright front fascia, and crossover cues to the premium hatchback.
Unmasked images of the fourth-generation Hyundai i20 premium hatchback have surfaced online, revealing a radical aesthetic overhaul and a heavily digitalised cabin layout. The leaked photographs showcase the vehicle completely undisguised ahead of its official global unveiling.
The exterior images indicate a clear market shift, where a traditional premium hatchback is being styled to resemble a rugged crossover. To capture the attention of crossover-obsessed buyers, Hyundai has equipped the new model with heavy black plastic cladding across the wheel arches and lower door sills. The front profile adopts an upright stance with an elevated bonnet line, a separated parametric grille, and sharp, angular headlight arrays.
At the rear, the transformation is completed by a chunky, dual-tone rear bumper and a high-set connected LED taillight strip spanning the width of the tailgate, mimicking the design language of the brand's larger utility vehicles.

The interior leak confirms a comprehensive technology upgrade. The dashboard is defined by a massive, free-standing dual-screen glass panel that seamlessly integrates the driver's instrumentation with the central infotainment software. Physical buttons have been largely eliminated in favour of a control band located directly beneath the screen, while the lower central console features a premium gloss-black finish housing vertical air vents and touch-based climate controls.
Mechanical details remain unconfirmed, though the model is expected to carry forward its proven 1.2-litre petrol and 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engines options globally, with an Indian commercial launch anticipated by early 2027.
