Google Flights' standard search results does not automatically display the lowest-priced options.
While users could previously access complete flight listings through additional clicks, Google's latest update has introduced a dedicated "Cheapest" filter and this new tab specifically ranks flights by cost alone, presenting every possible combination to find rock-bottom prices.
"To help you better find these deals, we’re adding a new 'Cheapest' tab on Google Flights. Beginning this week, you can enter your trip details and tap on “Cheapest” to show more options with even lower prices. This update is rolling out globally over the next two weeks, wherever Google Flights is available," Wishy Arora
Product Manager, Search, wrote in a blog post.

It is pertinent to note that Google Flights' standard search results does not automatically display the lowest-priced options. Instead, the main algorithm of Google Flights weighs multiple elements including duration, number of connections, and flight schedules to show what it considers the best overall options.
Google Flights will now assemble creative itineraries that might include extended layovers, combinations of different carriers and booking platforms, or flights from alternative nearby airports -- all to uncover the absolute lowest fares.
"You may find that some of the options under the 'Cheapest' tab involve more…creative itineraries, like longer layovers, self-transfers or purchasing different legs of the trip through multiple airlines or booking sites. But for those times when cost matters more than convenience, the new tab gives you an easy way to see the lowest prices available and then decide for yourself what tradeoffs you want to make," Arora added.
Once you select your preferred budget-friendly option, you will be redirected to the relevant websites to complete your purchase.
