Ace cricketer Hardik Pandya has brought home the new-gen Mercedes-Benz V-Class. The new V-Class was launched in the country earlier this month, and Pandya became the first person to own one in India. He has gifted the car to his girlfriend Mahika Sharma. Images of Pandya and Sharma receiving the car key from Mercedes-Benz have been widely circulated on the internet.
The new Mercedes-Benz V-Class has been launched at ₹1.40 crore (ex-showroom, India), which roughly translates to ₹1.70 crore (on-road, Mumbai). This positions the V-Class between the Toyota Vellfire and the Lexus LM. The Mumbai Indians skipper is currently busy with the ongoing iteration of Indian Premier League that kickstarted on 28 March 2026.
The India-spec Mercedes-Benz V-Class is offered exclusively in an extended wheelbase configuration and in the AMG Line trim. The luxury MPV measures 5,370 mm in length, 1,928 mm in width (2,249 mm with mirrors) and 1,909 mm in height. The wheelbase stands at 3,430 mm, which is longer than the MG Comet. In terms of styling, the new V-Class features a star-studded grille with an illuminated surround. It also comes with multi-beam headlamps, sportier bumpers, and two-tone 18-inch alloy wheels.
The cabin is designed to deliver a plush, comfort-focused experience. It offers generous space and multiple seating configurations to suit different needs. Buyers can choose between four- and six-seater layouts, with seats either all facing forward or arranged to face each other. Up front, the seats come equipped with heating, cooling and ventilation functions, along with a massage feature and extendable leg support for added comfort.

Access to the rear is made easier with electrically operated sliding doors. Among the available options, the six-seater forward-facing layout stands out as the most practical, with even the third row benefiting from ventilation. The seats are upholstered in leather. AMG badging is visible on the inside for a touch of sportiness.
In terms of features, the new V-Class EWB is equipped with three-zone climate control, 64-colour ambient lighting, USB ports, wireless charging, and a 15-speaker Burmester sound system. The cabin also offers plenty of practical storage options, including multiple cupholders and coat hooks.
Up front, the seats are electronically adjustable and come with extendable under-thigh support for added comfort. The dashboard features dual 12.3-inch displays for the digital instrument cluster and infotainment system, along with a trackpad integrated into the centre console. Notably, the MPV does not get a sunroof—panoramic or otherwise—but it does come with window blinds to enhance privacy for occupants.

The safety suite includes seven airbags, ISOFIX anchorages, traffic sign recognition, driver attention assist, a 360-degree camera, and an electronic parking brake, among other features. It also gets adaptive cruise control, collision warning, brake assist, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.

The new Mercedes-Benz V-Class is offered with both petrol and diesel engine options. The V300 petrol is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine producing 228 bhp, with an additional 20 bhp boost from its mild-hybrid system. The V300 diesel uses a 2.0-litre engine as well, also supported by mild-hybrid technology, delivering 234 bhp. Both variants are paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission.
