The Mercedes-Benz V-Class is all set to make a comeback to the Indian market. The luxury panel van was on sale in India between 2019 and 2022, and now returns to a competitive segment with offerings such as the Toyota Vellfire and Lexus LM.
Mercedes-Benz has announced it’s all set to bring back the V-Class in India with the launch confirmed for March 3, 2026. The Mercedes-Benz V-Class is the luxury panel van from the German automaker, and was one of the first ones to be officially sold in India, and the segment is now hugely popular among the elite. The carmaker is expected to bring the long-wheelbase iteration of the V-Class, ensuring more room at the rear.
The upcoming Mercedes-Benz V-Class is expected to go big on rear seat comfort. Mercedes hints at a private suite on the new V-Class, which translates to a luxurious experience. Expect to see two front-facing first-class styled seats with electric adjustability, ventilation, massage function, and a whole lot more. You can also expect generous headroom and legroom and tray tables to ensure absolute comfort.

Internationally, the V-Class comes with twin 12.3-inch screens for the digital console and infotainment system, capacitive hands-off recognition, wireless charging, multi-beam LED headlamps, and an air suspension. Power is likely going to come from the 2.0-litre diesel engine seen on the several Mercedes-Benz vehicles. Mercedes also retails a camper version of the V-Class in other markets, making it a home away from home.
There’s no word on the pricing at the moment but expect the new Mercedes-Benz V-Class to carry a premium. Expect prices around ₹1.60-1.70 crore (ex-showroom), positioning the model between the Toyota Vellfire and Lexus LM.
The previous generation V-Class went on sale in India in 2019, and made way for other offerings such as the Toyota Vellfire, Lexus LM, and Kia Carnival. The previous iteration arrived with a 2.1-litre diesel engine churning out 161 bhp and 380 Nm of peak torque. It offered acres of space and comfort with the four-seater layout with seats facing each other. The previous generation V-Class had a short run in India and was pulled off the shelves in 2022.
More details on the availability and features will be available closer to the launch.
