The brand will also open the booking window for the second lot on October 16
Hero MotoCorp revived the Harley-Davidson brand in the Indian market when it launched the new X440. Until the arrival of the Harley-Davidson X440 all the bikes in the brands portfolio were CBU (completely built unit) and therefore exorbitantly priced. The X440 is an important motorcycle for the both the manufacturers as it has been co-developed by the duo and built in India by Hero MotoCorp.
While bookings of the bike had commenced in July, deliveries for the first lot of the Harley X440 will start from October 15 which is also the first day of Navratri festival. Apart from the commencement of deliveries, Harley-Davidson also announced that the booking window will be reopened for the second lot of bikes.
Commenting on the announcement, Niranjan Gupta, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Hero MotoCorp, said, “The Harley-Davidson X440 continues to create excitement across the country. While the production is in full swing at our Neemrana facility, a huge number of our pre-booked customers have availed the opportunity to test ride the motorcycle. We are all geared up to add a lot of festive cheer by commencing deliveries of the Harley Davidson X440 to our customers from the first day of the Navratri. This is just the beginning in our winning the premium journey.”
Harley-Davidson has so far received over 25,000 bookings for the X440 within a month of the bike being launched which is a very impressive number. The Harley-Davidson X440 is offered in three variants - Denim (Rs 2.59 lakh), Vivid (Rs 2.79 lakh) and Vivid S (Rs 2.79 lakh). The baby harley-Davidson rivals the likes of the Triumph Speed 400, Royal Enfield Meteor 350, Yezdi Roadster and the Honda CB350 H’ness.
