New colour scheme and a hardware update are the new bits to be found on this edition of the Karizma.
Hero has given the Karizma XMR 210 a slight makeover by introducing a special Combat Edition. Just like the Hero Xoom 110 Combat Edition, the new Karizma XMR Combat Edition also wears a new paint option called Shadow Grey finished in matte texture. While the official asking price of the bike is yet to be known, it is expected to be revealed soon, most probably by the end of this month.
Besides the aesthetic change, Hero has also upgraded some of the hardware components of the bike. So, instead of a telescopic fork, it gets a 41 mm USD fork finished in gold and a larger front brake rotor. These upgrades have affected its kerb weight with the new Karizma XMR Combat Edition weighing at 166 kg, which is three kilos heavier than the standard bike.
Just like the top trim of the Hero XPulse 210, the Hero Karizma XMR Combat Edition also gets the new 4.2-inch TFT console. This means that it will also support connectivity features like turn-by-turn navigation and call/SMS alert. But beyond these changes, the Karizma XMR has essentially remained the same.
It will continue to be powered by the same 210 cc, liquid-cooled engine that is good for 25.15 bhp and 20.4 Nm. Similarly, the bike’s design has also remained the same, right from the chiseled fairing design to the sharp LED headlight and tail light design.
With all the new improved bits onboard, the new Karizma XMR Combat Edition will be a premium affair than the standard Karizma XMR 210. While the latter is priced at ₹1.82 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), we reckon the special edition bike will cost around ₹8,000-₹10,000 extra.
