Sources in dealerships have confirmed to us that the new Hero Karizma XMR 250 will be launching soon.
After the Xtreme 250R, Hero MotoCorp is now gearing up to launch its fully-faired sibling, the Karizma XMR 250. When we got in touch with a few dealers, they informed us that the quarter-litre fully-faired sports bike will reach showrooms by late May or early June, 2025. Moreover, production of the Karizma XMR 210 has also been stopped as it will be replaced by the 250 cc Karizma. However, there are a few Karizma XMR 210s still available at dealerships, and they’ll be on sale as long as stock lasts. So if you’re planning to buy the XMR 210 make sure to bargain for a healthy discount.
Just like the Hero Xtreme 250R, the Karizma XMR 250 will also be powered by the new 250 cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder mill. The engine is good enough for 29.58 bhp at 9,250 rpm and 25 Nm of peak torque produced at 7,250 rpm on the Xtreme 250R, will Hero MotoCorp retain the same configuration on the fully-faired sport bike too or not, remains to be seen.
Design-wise, the Hero Karizma XMR 250 will carry forward the same aesthetic as seen on the Karizma XMR 210, but with a more aggressive stance. The LED projector headlights get sharper profile, and integrated winglets on the fairing will further elevate its sporty character. There will be a new Nardo Gray colour option available though, as was seen on the display bike in EICMA. The Karizma XMR 250 will be built around the same steel trellis frame as the Karizma XMR 210, but will be optimised to pack in that bigger engine for more performance. The frame will be suspended by premium USD fork and monoshock, while the brakes will remain the same as on the Karizma XMR 210.
On the features front, the upcoming Karizma XMR 250 will carry forward the new 4.2-inch TFT instrument console that we have already experienced on the new top-spec Hero XPulse 210. This unit gets all the modern connectivity features including turn-by-turn navigation, phone SMS/ alert, and has a pretty nice and neat user interface as well.
The upcoming Hero Karizma XMR 250 will have very limited competition in the fully-faired quarter-litre sport bike segment in the country. So far, we have the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250 as its only competitor. So, the Hero bike will have quite the reliable standards to live up to, in order to become successful.
