The new Hero Xtreme 125R will be available in two variants, and deliveries for the same will start from February 20
Hero has launched the Xtreme 125R at a price of ₹95,000, with the ABS variant priced at ₹99,000. This positions it in the 125cc sporty commuter segment, where the TVS Raider 125 is a hot pick. Other bikes in this segment include the Bajaj Pulsar 125 and Honda SP125. It will be available across all Hero showrooms starting from 20th Feb.
The Xtreme 125R features a twin-headlight setup. The tank is sculpted and has shrouds, with styling cues from the Xtreme 160R. A split seat is added for a sporty appeal, as well as the side-slung stubby exhaust. The engine is completely blacked out, and so is the exhaust, completing the overall sporty look. This bike comes in 3 colors; Red, Black and Blue.
The engine on this bike is a 125cc unit, producing 11.3 bhp at 8250 rpm and 11 Nm of torque. This powerplant is paired with a 5-speed gearbox, achieving 60 kmph in 5.9 seconds. It has a claimed fuel economy of 66 kmpl.
It has a diamond frame chassis. The front features a 37 mm telescopic fork (first-in-segment), and the rear is equipped with a 7-step Showa monoshock, which is similar to its main rival, the TVS Raider.
The Hero Xtreme 125R runs on 17-inch alloys. Braking is handled by a front 270 mm disc and rear drum brake, but there is also a rear disc on offer in the higher variants. The headlight and turn signals are all LED units, featuring an LED projector headlamp, LED indicators, and tail lamps.
Instrument panel on this is a fully digital unit similar to the Xtreme 160R. Other features on this bike include bluetooth connectivity which shows info from your phone and turn by turn navigation. In terms of safety this bike gets ABS but that is restricted with the top model only.
Priced from ₹95,000 , the new Hero Xtreme 125R is throwing some serious side-eye at the TVS Raider. Stay tuned for our witty face-off comparison coming soon. Do share your thoughts on whether this two-wheeled contender has the charisma to be your sporty 125cc commuter!
