The addition of this latest tech has also pushed the bike price slightly.
As Hero MotoCorp gears up for the new 2024 Destini Xtec launch, the brand has silently updated its most popular workhorse, the Spendor Xtec. Yes, India’s favourite commuter motorcycle has finally gained a disc brake. Not that we anticipated it, but this safety net certainly enhances the bike’s appeal, and new riders should feel more confident in panic braking situations with the Spendor Xtec.
While Hero MotoCorp has not mentioned any details about the kind of braking system that is available with the addition of this disc brake. We expect the same combi brake system Hero offers with the Splendor Xtec’s drum brake counterpart. Besides that, the bike remains completely unchanged. Right from the minimal and practical design and its colour options down to its 7.09 bhp/ 8.05 Nm frugal 100 cc engine with a four-speed gearbox. On the features front, the Hero Splendor Xtec continues to feature the same fully digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity and a C-type USB charger.
With this new introduction, the Hero Splendor Xtec is now available in two variants. The new disc brake variant is priced at ₹83,461 (ex-showroom, Delhi), making it ₹3,550 more expensive than the drum brake variant, which is priced at ₹79,911 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
