Hero MotoCorp launched the Super Splendor XTEC 2.0 at ₹86,500 with a claimed mileage of 72 kmpl. The updated commuter also receives hazard lights and fresh dual-tone graphics.
Hero MotoCorp has introduced the Super Splendor XTEC 2.0, featuring subtle styling updates and improved fuel efficiency. Priced at ₹86,500 (ex-showroom), this new iteration is part of Hero’s extensive 125 cc portfolio, which includes the Glamour and the Xtreme 125R.
The motorcycle retains the 124.7 cc single-cylinder engine, which delivers 10.5 bhp at 7,500 rpm and 10.6 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm. A significant update for the 2.0 version is the claimed fuel efficiency of 72 kmpl, a notable increase from the 68 kmpl offered by the previous model. The manufacturer attributes this improvement to its i3S idle stop-start technology and advanced fuel injection systems.
In terms of features, the XTEC 2.0 gains hazard lights, a first for the Super Splendor lineup. It continues to offer a digital instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity and a USB Type-C charging port for mobile devices. Visual changes include dual-tone graphics, 3D emblems, and a new dual-textured seat with contrast stitching. The bike is available in five shades, including Matt Nexus Blue and Candy Blazing Red.
Interestingly, at ₹86,500, the new model is more affordable than the outgoing disc brake variant of the Super Splendor XTEC. This pricing strategy, combined with the higher mileage, is intended to strengthen Hero’s position in the highly competitive 125 cc commuter segment against rivals like the Honda Shine and TVS Raider.
