The maxi-scooter is likely to take the fight to the Yamaha Aerox 155. Other sporty scooters also shown
Hero has grand plans for EICMA 2023. Recently, the company shared a teaser suggesting its plans to unveil its 400cc platform at Milan and it seems that’s not the end of it. Hero is also going to showcase three of its new scooters, one of them being a maxi-scooter, which would be something worth keeping an eye out for.
After a little scourging the internet, we did come across the design patent for the same. Hero is going for a mix of traditional maxi and sporty maxi styling, something that is a middleground between a Yamaha Aerox 155 and the Yamaha NMax 155. In the patent, the scooter looks properly sporty with a proper backbone chassis and intentful riding setup. The front apron looks beefy with the rear body going for that sharp lean look.
We expect Hero to plonk in a large motor into this maxi-scooter, hopefully one that is 150cc at the very least. Much like Yamaha, Hero could also take a look at its existing line-up of products and utilise perhaps the Xtreme 160R 4V’s motor with severe changes made to the drivetrain.
Also, we have known that Hero is working on a sporty 125cc scooter, like a Xoom 125. The patent design of the same propped up on the internet a few weeks ago and now, the social media post clearly teases its arrival as well. More details on the same scooter in this story.
And finally, the third scooter teased is likely to be the Vida V1. Hero might be planning to go international with its electric scooter and what better way to gauge interest than from the show floors of Milan.
We will be bringing you all the dope from EICMA 2023 as it unfolds from November 7 onwards.
