After months of waiting, Hero MotoCorp has finally given us the first glimpse of the bigger XPulse 210. Furthermore, it has also been confirmed that the bike will be revealed in all its glory at the upcoming 2024 EICMA motorcycle show in Milan. The new XPulse 210, was recently spotted being tested in the Himalayas. It represents a modest upgrade from the current Xtreme 2004V, rather than the significant leap to the 400 cc+ segment that many adventure touring enthusiasts had hoped for.
The upcoming Hero Xtreme 210 will utilise the Karizma XMR's 210 cc liquid-cooled engine, which produces 25.15 bhp and 20.4 Nm of torque. We expect the same mill to be employed here but it might have specific tuning modifications to suit its ADV nature. Technical improvements might include a six-speed transmission and a redesigned exhaust system with enhanced water-wading capabilities.
While the upgrade addresses some limitations of the current model, particularly in highway performance, it falls short of entering the mid-capacity adventure motorcycle segment that competitors currently dominate. However, if Hero MotoCorp plans to offer a Pro/Rally version with adjustable suspension and off-road tyres, then we can have a nice dual-purpose alternative to the likes of the recently unveiled Kawasaki KLX-230S. As for its pricing, the new Hero Xtreme 210 is expected to be priced ₹7,000-₹10,000 above the current XPulse 4V's ₹1.47 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) price tag.
