Hero MotoCorp is yet to officially announce prices of the Xtreme 160R 4V Combat Edition. Expect it to cost ₹10,000 more than the regular Xtreme 160R 4V which is priced at ₹1.30 lakh (ex-showroom).
Hero MotoCorp has unveiled a special Combat Edition of Xtreme 160R 4V. This new variant of the naked streetfighter has some additional features along with a new paint scheme. It’s the third Combat Edition model launched by Hero after Xoom 110 and Karizma XMR launched earlier this year. An official announcement regarding the bike’s launch is expected to take place soon.
Like the other models in this range, the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V Combat Edition gets a similar dual-tone grey and yellow paint scheme with neon graphics. It also gets a sharper LED headlight. Previously, the Xtreme 160R 4V used reflector-based LED lighting, but it has now been upgraded to the Xtreme 250R’s LED projector unit, which also incorporates the signature ‘H’ DRL, aligning it with the latest Hero models.
Additionally, the Combat Edition is equipped with ride-by-wire technology, enabling features such as cruise control and three riding modes: Rain, Road and Sport. Besides these, the standard Xtreme 160R is equipped with the same colour LCD instrument console found on the Hero Glamour X 125 and the Xtreme 125R. The display provides key information including speed, fuel level, time, gear position, a tachometer, an odometer, and dual tripmeters.
Mechanically, the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V Combat Edition remains the same. It is powered by a 163.2cc, air and oil-cooled, 4-valve engine paired with a 5-speed gearbox. This motor produces 16.4 bhp and 14.6 Nm of peak torque. Hero says the Xtreme 160R 4V is capable of sprinting 0 to 60 kmph in 4.5 seconds. In terms of hardware, the bike gets a KYB upside down front fork, a rear monoshock, and disc brakes at both ends paired with dual-channel ABS.
