HMD (Human Mobile Devices) has today unveiled its first range of smartphones developed entirely in-house—the HMD Pulse series. The HMD Pulse, Pulse Plus, and Pulse Pro are part of the new lineup, highlighting affordable pricing and eco-friendliness through easy repairability.
All three Pulse phones feature replaceable batteries that can be removed in five minutes with basic tools thanks to what HMD calls a "Gen 1" repairability design. HMD is partnering with iFixit to offer self-repair kits for common issues like screen replacements.

Under the hood, the Pulse range is powered by the Unisoc T606 chip and features 6.6-inch HD+ LCD screens with 90Hz refresh rates. The base Pulse model sports a 13-megapixel primary camera, while the Pulse Plus steps up to a 50-megapixel camera.
HMD Pulse+
The Pulse Pro maintains the 50-megapixel rear shooter and boosts the selfie camera to a high-res 50-megapixel sensor. The battery capacity measures a generous 5,000mAh across the board, with the Pulse and Pulse Plus supporting 10W charging and the Pulse Pro supporting 20W charging speeds.

Pricing starts at €140 (around ₹12,462) for the Pulse and goes up to €180 (around ₹16,000) for the Pulse Pro. All three are offered with between 4GB and 8GB of RAM paired with 64GB or 128GB of storage. There's no word on when and if the Pulse series will make its way to India.
Nevertheless, the new Pulse series represents an evolution of HMD's smartphone strategy as it forges its unique path, co-existing with Nokia.
