The upcoming Honda Activa Electric is expected to look very similar to its ICE counterpart.
Honda’s debut fully-electric offering for India has been teased again, and this time the Japanese marque gives us a glimpse of the electric motor of the scooter. In the same, Honda has also given us a subtle glimpse of the scooter’s seat, by showcasing its silhouette. The second teaser comes just a few days after the Japanese marque teased the scooter’s headlight. You can read more about it here.
While we are yet to confirm what Honda will officially call this scooter, there are high chances the marque might choose either Activa Electric or Activa E. As for its overall design, expect Honda to keep matters familiar that will look like its ICE counterpart, the OG Activa. The reputation and sales that the Activa enjoys in India, make it very plausible for Honda to follow this strategy so that future customers can relate to it. Additionally, the scooter might also equip a removable battery, which will help keep matters flexible and negate headaches related to long charging hours.
As for its official spec, we expect the Honda Activa Electric will be good for 100 km of range on a single charge and reach speeds up to 70 - 80 kmph. Either way, it remains to be seen how Honda pitches the upcoming electric Activa, especially when its competitors – Bajaj Chetak, Ather Rizta, TVS iQube, and the Ola S1 – have become quite popular in 2024. The electric two-wheeler industry has already raked in 1 million sales this year. To learn more about the same and how the industry grew, head to the link here.
