The recall affects select units of the Honda CB1000 Hornet SP, which were manufactured between September 30, 2024, and August 22, 2025.
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has announced a voluntary recall for the CB1000 Hornet SP super-naked motorcycle. The company announced it plans to address two technical issues via the voluntary recall, including an issue with the fuel feed hose and the other with the engine oil consumption. The recall affects select units of the Honda CB1000 Hornet SP, which were manufactured between September 30, 2024, and August 22, 2025.
With respect to the issues, Honda says the routing of the fuel feed hose may require inspection to ensure it’s properly secured under specific conditions. The other issue identified by the company is the over consumption of oil in the engine. This may vary due to the characteristics of some components, but the manufacturer says it may require appropriate action to maintain optimal engine performance.

Honda’s BigWing Topline dealerships across the country will inspect and rectify the issue on the CB1000 Hornet SP. The company will rectify the fuel feed hose routing, as well as replace the affected engine components consuming excess oil on the affected units. All repairs will be carried out free of cost irrespective of the motorcycle’s warranty status, the company said.
Honda CB1000 Hornet SP customers can reach out to their respective BigWing Topline dealerships to confirm if their motorcycle has been affected by the voluntary recall. Honda advises customers to take a prior service appointment to ensure a smooth process and avoid any delays.
The Honda CB1000 Hornet SP was launched in India in May 2025. The super-naked was previously recalled over a faulty gearshift pivot bolt last year, and this incident would mark its second recall in the country. The performance streetfighter is powered by a 999 cc inline, four-cylinder engine tuned for 155 bhp at 11,000 rpm and 107 Nm of peak torque at 9,000 rpm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Suspension duties are handled by Showa SFF-BP forks at the front and an Ohlins TTX36 monoshock at the rear. The bike comes with disc brakes at either end, along with ABS, Honda Selectable Torque Control (traction control), Wheelie Control, and more.
The Honda CB1000 Hornet SP is priced at ₹13.29 lakh (ex-showroom), and comes to India as a full import.
