The recall affects CB300R units produced between 2018 and 2020.
Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has announced a recall for the CB300R for units manufactured between 2018 and 2020. The recall affects the headlight of the CB300R, resulting in flickering or shutting off.
The issue in the CB300R lies in the internal printed circuit board (PCB) structure in the headlight that result in wires suffering a fatigue break at the terminal. HMSI will replace the parts of the affected CB300R at Honda’s BigWing dealerships across India, free of charge and irrespective of the warranty.
HMSI hasn’t divulged how many units of the CB300R have been affected but has only given the timeline of when the affected models were produced. Acko Drive has reached out to HMSI regarding the exact number of affected units, and we will update the story once we receive a response.
This is not the first time the CB300R has been recalled in India. In September 2024, the CB300R was recalled for a faulty wheel speed sensor. The CB300R was last updated in October 2023 to make it OBD-II compliant, and Honda hasn’t changed anything in the bike since then. So if you have a bike from the above time period, we will request you to please get the faulty unit replaced even if the dealership personnel haven’t contacted you personally.
