If and when launched, Honda Click will rival sporty 125 cc scooters such as Hero Xoom 125, TVS Ntorq 125, Aprilia SR 125 and the recently updated Suzuki Burgman Street 125.
Honda Motorcycles and Scooters India (HMSI) was the second largest two-wheeler manufacturer in the country with 4,75,313 units sold in FY2026, according to FADA data. Further, Honda is also the undisputed leader in the scooter segment with Activa leading the sales chart for over two decades. The Japanese brand is looking to expand its scooter portfolio with the addition of another model.
Honda has filed patent applications for the Click 125 in India which has now received an approval from the Controller General of Patents, Designs & Trade Marks. The Click 125 is on sale in multiple South East Asian countries like Philippines and Cambodia. Although a patent grant doesn’t guarantee a market launch, it is an indication of what Honda plans to do.
The patent images reveal a very sporty design of the Click 125 similar to the likes of Hero Xoom 125, TVS Ntorq 125, Aprilia SR 125 and the recently updated Suzuki Burgman Street 125. The other big highlight for the scooter are those 14-inch wheels that give the scooter an imposing stance. 14-inch wheels on a scooter are not very common, and available only on select few models like Xoom 125, SR 125, River Indie, and TVS Orbiter.

The Click 125 features a striking all-LED lighting setup, apron-mounted headlamp, a dual-tone colour scheme with sporty graphics, and a stepped single-piece seat. It also gets a chunky rear grab rail for the pillion, a front disc and rear drum brake aided by a combi braking system, a telescopic front fork, and a rear mono-shock, among other highlights.

Behind the apron, there’s a small concealed storage compartment that includes a USB Type-C charging port, while the under-seat storage capacity is rated at 18 litres. As a step-through scooter, the Click 125 offers a flat floorboard for added practicality. It also comes equipped with a smart key system featuring keyless go functionality, along with a fully digital instrument cluster.

The Honda Click 125 is powered by a 125 cc, single-cylinder SOHC engine. Notably, it features liquid cooling, unlike most rival scooters in this segment that rely on air-cooled setups. The engine produces around 11 bhp and 11 Nm of peak torque. Its claimed fuel efficiency stands at 49.3 kmpl. In terms of dimensions and figures, the scooter comes with a 5.5-litre fuel tank, offers 131 mm of ground clearance, and has a kerb weight of 111 kg.
