Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India recorded a 17% sales growth in Q1 FY2027 with 16.11 lakh units, heavily supported by a 23% surge in June 2026 dispatches.
Capitalising on stable underlying demand conditions and strong multi-channel retail traction, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Private Limited has officially announced an impressive commercial performance for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2026-27.
The Japanese company dispatched a cumulative total of 16.11 lakh units between April and June 2026. This volume represents a 17% growth compared to the 13.75 lakh units recorded during the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.
The quarterly volume acceleration was backed by consistent expansions across both its localised domestic distribution channels and international shipping markets. In the domestic market, the automaker delivered 14.13 lakh units to its massive nationwide dealer network during Q1 FY27, registering a healthy 15% increase over the 12.28 lakh units managed during Q1 FY26.

Simultaneously, the company’s international export operations witnessed a major upward movement, with quarterly dispatches jumping 36% year-on-year to finish at 1.98 lakh units against the 1.46 lakh units shipped previously.
The strong quarterly closure was heavily driven by an exceptional sales spike in June 2026, where the manufacturer recorded total sales of 5.28 lakh units, marking a substantial 23% year-on-year growth compared to the 4.29 lakh units sold in June 2025.
Domestic wholesales for the month stood at 4.68 lakh units, tracking a 21% advancement over the previous year. Meanwhile, international export dispatches for June 2026 registered a massive 47% year-on-year surge, climbing to 0.59 lakh units from the 0.40 lakh units recorded during the same month last year.
Reflecting on the quarterly milestone, Tsutsumu Otani, President and CEO of Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, stated that the healthy growth momentum reflects the brand's continuous alignment with evolving customer preferences, adding that the enterprise remains focused on steady priority execution and widespread dealer network capabilities to drive sustainable long-term growth despite dynamic market challenges.
