And it costs a whopping ₹1.24 lakh!
The Honda Navi has been announced for Australia. The Activa-derived mini bike was phased out from India during the BS6 transition. Honda Motorcycles Australia is targeting this scooter towards the youth, obviously because it resembles a motorcycle and has the appeal that they believe younger buyers desire.
The Navi still has a 109cc engine, producing 8 bhp and 8 Nm. The engine is paired with a CVT gearbox. No changes to the hardware as well as the underbone frame continues to be suspended by a USD fork and a monoshock. It rides on a 12-inch front wheel and a 10-inch rear wheel, both equipped with drum brakes.
In Australia this scooter will be offered in 4 colours - Patriot Red, Ranger Green, Shasta White, and Neon Pink. The scooter will get a 17.5L lockable storage box.
While Indians saw the Navi as a compromise, the youthful aspirations might work well in a slightly more evolved and developed market that is Australia. We have already seen the Navi work well in America as it represents a very easy to ride and maintenance is dirt cheap. Plus, it costs a heck of a lot less than the Grom. Wish Honda India also had such a focus to keep us thrilled and possibly bring the Grom to our roads as well.
