Honda NX500 India Launch Confirmed

Honda India is gearing up to launch the NX500 adventure motorcycle. Unofficial bookings of the upcoming Honda motorcycle have commenced for ₹50,000 at select Honda BigWing dealerships across the country.

The NX500 will succeed the Honda CB500X, featuring a design that is comparatively larger and more aspirational. The front fascia is equipped with an LED headlight accompanied by LED turn indicators. A transparent visor tops it off, with crash guards available as an optional accessory for additional engine and front-end protection.

Powering the Honda ADV is a 471cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine, delivering 47 bhp and 43 Nm of torque. It employs a diamond frame which is supported by Showa 41 mm Separate Function Big Piston USD fork and a five-step adjustable linked rear shock. The braking system includes dual 296 mm front and a single 240 mm rear disc with dual-channel ABS. The tall stance is further emphasised by 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels wrapped in 110/80 front and 160/60 rear tyres. Seat height of the Honda NX500 is an accessible 830 mm and ground clearance is 180 mm. The motorcycle tips the scale at 196 kg, which is close to the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450.

The technological aspects of the NX500 include a five-inch TFT instrument cluster, traction control, ABS, and smartphone connectivity. Via Bluetooth and a dedicated app, rider can manage music, calls, SMS, and access turn-by-turn navigation.

The Honda NX500 will make its India debut in February, 2023 we anticipate Honda to competitively price the ADV ranging from Rs. 7 lakh to Rs. 7.5 lakh (ex-showroom). This positions it in direct competition with the Kawasaki Versys 650 and the Moto Morini X-Cape.
