The facelifted Slavia could get a new 8-speed automatic transmission option.
The Skoda Slavia facelift is confirmed to launch in India on August 18, 2026. This will mark the sedan's first mid-cycle refresh since its initial debut.
The refreshed model is set to receive subtle styling changes, a few feature additions, and a notable transmission update for its entry-level turbo-petrol engine while retaining its existing powertrain choices.
Visually, spy shots of test mules indicate that the Slavia facelift will align its exterior design language with newer brand models such as the Kushaq and Kodiaq. So, the design updates on the car will most likely include a revised front grille with integrated light elements, redesigned front and rear bumpers, and fresh alloy wheel options.
The interior layout is expected to remain largely familiar but will gain upgraded tech, including a larger 10.25-inch fully digital driver's display, revised seat upholstery, front parking sensors, and the potential addition of a rear-seat massage function. Existing features like the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit, single-pane sunroof, and wireless charging could carry forward.

Mechanically, the Slavia facelift will continue offering its two engine options: the 113 bhp 1.0-litre TSI three-cylinder engine and the more powerful 148 bhp 1.5-litre TSI four-cylinder unit. The most important mechanical change involves swapping the 1.0 TSI's current 6-speed torque-converter automatic for a new 8-speed automatic gearbox previously introduced in the updated Kushaq. The 1.5 TSI variant will maintain its 7-speed dual-clutch automatic (DCT) transmission
With the added features and mechanical tweaks, prices are expected to rise slightly over the current range of ₹10 lakh to ₹18.19 lakh (ex-showroom) as it continues to rival the Volkswagen Virtus, Hyundai Verna, and Honda City.
