The Japanese bike major has created a teaser website for the same.
Honda is preparing to bid farewell to its authentically retro CB1300 Super Four with a special Final Edition. This marks the end of a 33-year old legacy that began with the Project Big 1 in the early 1990s. The Japanese manufacturer has launched a teaser website for the last iteration of this large-displacement naked bike, which has maintained its traditional appeal.
The CB1300, known for its substantial physical presence and classic styling, has never been officially sold in the Indian market. However, that doesn’t take away the iconic stature that the bike has enjoyed in various global markets, particularly in Japan, where it's sold in both Super Four and Bol d'Or variants. Currently, the Honda CB1300 is powered by a 1,284 cc, inline-four engine that produces 111 bhp and 112 Nm. The engine is housed inside a double cradle frame, which suspends on a conventional telescopic fork and dual-shock absorbers.
While Honda has yet to release full specifications for the Final Edition, the company has marked the announcement by sharing historical promotional materials, including a distinctive 1998 advertisement that captures the era's unique marketing style. The CB1300's departure represents the gradual decline of purely mechanical, large-displacement motorcycles as manufacturers increasingly embrace digital technology and electronic features in their new models.
